Who are you and where in South Korea are you from?
Hi, I'm MATIC and I'm from Seoul, Korea.
How did you get your rap name?
My rap name is MATIC. My rap name is from one of the greatest rap albums, Nas - Illmatic. Is it not really cool? haha
How long have you been rapping?
I have been rapping for about 10 years. It's been really that long? But it's been about five years since I began my music career in earnest. I first heard Hip-Hop when I was 13. From then on I fell in love with Hip-Hop.
Describe your style of rapping.
I think my rap style is unique. Because I did not hear a voice similar to mine. And I also enjoy various flows. I hope my rap is not boring. And a high tone voice is my rap style too, you got it?
What inspires you to write raps?
I am inspired by watching many songs and videos. I usually enjoy Hip-Hop videos. Suddenly, inspiration comes to mind when you look at the lyrics of other rappers. I listen to a lot of 6lack songs these days.
Are you part of a crew, if so what is the name of your crew?
I belong to a crew called Music Alive. Music Alive is a crew but also an agency. We are doing a lot of work and they are a great crew.
What year and month were you born?
I was born in July 1991.
Do you have any siblings?
Yes, I have two sisters.
Are you single or dating someone right now?
I am single. :)
What is your favorite Korean meal?
I usually like all Korean food, but I like Toppokki among them. But nowadays I enjoy Chinese food. And I especially love Maratang. Do you know Maratang? It's a very spicy soup, but it's addictive. I recommend you try it once.
What rappers do you look up to?
I love Kendrick Lamar, Rama and Nicki Minaj. A few months ago, Kendrick Lamar and Rama came to Korea and performed. It was awesome. He is the best. It's so cool. Also I'm a fan of Nicki Minaj . Do you know how much I love her? My cat's name is Nicki. Can't believe it? But it's true. Nicki is next to me. Hi Nicki?
Have you ever been drunk and woke up not knowing where you are?
I like to drink alone at home. So there was no such thing.

Are you working on new music?
Sure, I have an album coming out in November. you can also listen to it on Apple Music and Youtube. It is an album with another rapper and it will be very interesting. I hope you hear it. Maybe it'll be great.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
Well maybe I'll be in space. I actually want to be an astronaut. It was a joke and I did not even think about it. I just live for today. hahaha
